To prop or not to prop?!??

Here at Photo Booth Fun we see many things… we see many people laughing, many people planning the perfect pose,  many people giggling as they retrieve their photo strip – all and all we see a lot of people having fun! Part of that fun is deciding on which prop to where – there are so many choices, which one sums up you? which one is good for the laughs? which one is just the cutest? and then there is the question that often follows the complex prop decision ….do we even prop?

Truth is our booths are fun however you approach them, sometimes its nice to hide behind a prop …sometimes it is fun to go all out and crazy with the props and sometimes it is cool to just be you!

One of our Taranaki Managers Jordan and Operator Tess will now demonstrate a few proping options….

First up we have ‘The Prop’ classically done …. Jordan even has 2 props (FYI you can never have too many props)…

Nest up we have’The Half Prop’ this is great if you are not truly ready to commit to the full prop seen above, just grab one thing and you are away laughing…

And finally we have ‘The No Prop’ … here there are no props in action but as you can see Tess and Jordan don’t need a prop when they can pull classic photo booth facials like these…

Already the Wellington Photo Booth Fun schedule is filling up with corporate parties, annual awards dinners, staff get together’s, fundraisers/community events…  and private parties where friends and families are just getting together to have fun!

Within these booking are a growing number of events where suppliers have booked a booth for client functions… a really cool and affordable way of saying “Thank You” in a manner that will be long remembered with a brand/logo on the custom photo strips!

We WON! We actually flaming won!

You may remember seeing a post back in April when we found out we had been nominated for a Taranaki Wedding Industry Award – we were so excited to have been nominated! We were up against some AMAZING businesses who we love to work alongside at events…we would have been so happy for them to win, there really were so many deserving businesses.

The awards night rolled about and the Taranaki team headed out to the event (with the booth of course). Taranaki Weddings had put on a spectacular evening and the team were having a ball! The time came to read out the nominations and as the name “Photo Booth Fun” was read out and displayed on screen the team was so proud to have been included….there was a pause and then… “and the winner of the Entertainment category is…. PHOTO BOOTH FUN”

What a feeling it was to walk on stage and accept the award – so THANK YOU wonderful, beautiful, crazy and fun clients!

2degrees Comedy Convoy

The South Island team were stoked to be invited back to join 2degrees on their 2016 comedy convoy, this year hitting 3 spots in the Mainland: Nelson, Christchurch and Dunedin. We’re based in Canterbury but we love to travel and our booth is so easy to transport, we can go anywhere!

Guests got a double dose of fun with both the photobooth and the hilarious comedy acts. A quick turn in the booth beforehand saw many punters entering the show already laughing!

Winter Party Time is here again!

It might be cold, windy and wet outside and memories of summer days are fading… but why not engage the winter months head on with a party for staff, friends and family?

The Winter Solstice, the shortest “day” of the year is just a few weeks away (June 21) … but who needs daylight to party and to have fun!

And of course, along with good food and refreshments – why not invite Photo Booth Fun along to join the party and record the festivities!

As with all our packages, not only do the guests get one or two copies of our highest quality photo strips – but we love to work with organisers to enhance any theme,
and to of course share our collective decades of  knowledge, ideas and experience in pulling off the best parties ever!

Whether it be to supply themed props, create a custom backdrop, theme the photo booth, design a unique photo strip template or provide a personalised photo album to record the party (antics and evidence!) … Photo Booth Fun can supply all these and more!

Some things to do with a Photobooth

IMG_0330We are in the middle of a busy wedding season in Wellington and coming hot off the heels of Christmas party season. These events are places where you are most likely to find a photo booth but there are all sorts of other occasions that we show up to that might give you some ideas for your next event.

Birthday parties are always a fun celebration to add a photobooth to and we are also able to lower our booths to kid height just for kid’s parties. How about a photobooth at your anniversary? If they’re good enough for weddings why not the anniversary of one? We also love having booths at openings – the photo above was taken at a pet store opening and its a great way to send people away with a reminder that your store has opened up in their area.

How about get a booth along for your conference, maybe at the dinner to loosen everyone up before the dance floor gets into swing. Or maybe for a promotional activity? Sure we’ve provided booths for the ABs and Coca Cola (up in Auckland anyway) but that doesn’t mean we can’t come up with something to fit your promotional budget.

And we’re always open to hearing about using our photobooths at your fundraisers – school fairs, charity dinners, whatever. If we are able to help out we’d love to. You can use the booth to collect gold coin donations or just to provide a fun record of your fundraiser. The possibilities for booth use are endless – get in touch with us to talk about it!

We’ve been involved in some awesome events this year in Hawkes Bay, from Weddings to 21st Parties, from 50th, 60th and 70th birthdays to the Special Children’s Extravaganza, from School Balls to  work conferences and functions and an amazing night at Christmas at the Park with Dave Dobbyn and 27000 guests I can honestly say it’s been a fantastic year for Napier, Hastings, Havelock North and the whole Hawkes Bay region!
