IMG_0275The North City Wedding Expo is almost upon us Wellingtonians!

And its a great way to find everything you need for a wedding all under one roof – especially your booth! We’ve said it before but it bears repeating – you try out lots of other things that go into your wedding (even your future spouse!) so you really should get your props on and get into one of our booths. Its a great way to get in some wedding day kiss practice and we know this because trying to find a photo from last year’s expo that didn’t involve a lip-locked couple was no easy task!

If you haven’rt already sent out invites or other details about your wedding hold onto those strips you get from the booth because with a little scanning and some creativity you could have some really fun images!

We’ve talked about how much we enjoy these expos before and its true – they really are a great way to meet brides, grooms and families and start the process of creating memories. So come along to the Te Raupararaha Arena in Porirua on 24 January and come give our fantastic booth a trial run!

Wellington Photobooth

 

We love Photo Booth Christmases in Wellington! Because the booth is the perfect place for workmates to come together and let off steam without having to hit the dance floor. And the best thing of all it leaves people with a memory from the night. Once upon a time all the memories you got from the office Christmas Party were when someone sat on the photocopier and made 20 A4 copies of their backside. But throw in a Christmas props box and a photo booth and now you can have all sorts of memories that last beyond the night.

Its always great fun to see the pictures following a Christmas Party where all sorts of people, regardless of where they sit on the corporate ladder or what they do for the rest of the year act a little silly and have fun. A photo booth also allows those people who don’t drink or can’t drink on the night to relax and do something a little wild. The curtain truly does give people license to let their hair down and like we always say, “People do the funniest things when they think no-one is watching”.

So check and see if there are still spots left Wellington. And if we can’t fit you in for 2015 then book now for 2016. A year isn’t too long for an advance booking.

Always work with children and animals!

Someone is a bit more convinced than the other here

There is the old showbiz adage that states you should never work with children or animals. At Photobooth Fun we say to heck with that! Some of the most awesome moments in a photobooth can be provided by our little friends (of either 2 or 4 legs).

Dog in a PhotoboothIn October both children and animals came together in fantastic fashion when the Wellington team helped the Pet Centre out for two days for the grand opening of their Lyall Bay store. We had families, kids, bunnies, puppies, older dogs and even an 85kg St. Bernard in the booth! Some folks even came back with more family, friends and pets the second day!

Its the great thing about a photobooth for a function – everyone loves them. And more importantly we can even make sure that all your guests, furry or otherwise, can have a turn. If you’ve got a lot of kids or pets at your function let us know because we can give you some advice about the best set up to make sure that everyone has a chance to make great memories in the booth.

Early in August we had our stand up at the Show Me Wellington expo. This is a gathering of folks in the Conference and Incentives industry where vendors, such as ourselves, meet those hard-working folk who put on all the conferences, launches and corporate shin-digs throughout the year. As per usual it was a busy day – with lots of interest and plenty of fun in the booth! Its great to be able to show the booth off in different settings because one of the first places people often see one of our booths is at a wedding. And there’s no denying they are great for weddings! But photo booths also go really well at conferences. Some delegates go to so many conferences in a year that its hard to make things stand out, to make your conference memorable. A photo strip from one of our booths is something that can really do that. We have stories of lots of our clients who have a photo strip on their fridge or in their wallet 2 or 3 years later. So why not have that kind of long-lasting memory for your conference. Our custom strips are also a great way to give value to a sponsor for your event. We can put their branding right on the strip and its something else for delegates or guests to take away that isn’t a pen! Some suggestions of great times and places for a booth: 1. The gala dinner. This is the most commonly used time for a booth. Everyone is relaxed, in their glad rags and ready for fun. 2. At registration. Why not kick everything off with a photobooth. It sets the tone for your conference and says its going to be fun and a little bit different. 3. During the lunch break. People can only talk to each other about the last presentation they saw for so long. And an hour for lunch can be a looooooong time. Maybe slot a photobooth in there to get some energy going and make some memories. And it doesn’t matter where your conference is in the country – we’ve got you covered!
