Photo Booth Fun meets the All Blacks!

One of the best things about Photo Booth Fun has to be the people we get the opportunity to work with. Over the years we been lucky enough to work with some fantastic people and organisations.  Back in January this year we were involved in a very COOL project with Coke and the All Blacks – we are avid rugby fans up here in Auckland, so were stoked to be a part of this one.   Check out the result below – 100% pure awesomeness!!

Where has the year gone … ?

Here we are more than half way through the year already. We are 3 weeks past the shortest day – the days are getting longer now and the warmer weather is just around the corner!! 

The past few months have been very busy for the Auckland crew, and we have had the pleasure of attending many fabulous school balls!  We have been at the Rangitoto College Year 12 ball, Rodney College & Kings College ball (just to name a few!) – and we still have many more to come.  If you have had your school ball already and had an online gallery as part of your package, don’t forget to get in touch with the ball organiser for the password (as all the photos are up on our “galleries” page).

 

Aside from school balls, we have also been very busy with weddings – its great to see winter weddings  becoming more and more popular.   We have also attended plenty of birthday celebrations (including the birthday party of the wonderful Lisa who supplied this fabulous backdrop and some awesome costumes!!) ….

 

Thank you to everyone who has hired a photo booth at some stage over the first half of 2014 and we look forward to all the wonderful events we have booked for the rest of the year!

School ball season is upon us ….

Here we are, in June already, which means school ball season is well and truly upon us!  The Auckland crew have been at several balls (and pre-balls) already over the past few weeks, and as expected they just get bigger and better each year!  We have lots more booked in over the coming months too, and cant wait to be part of such an exciting night for students everywhere!

We love seeing everyone all glammed up for their big night …. and what better way to capture all the effort taken to look amazing, then photo booth photos (physical memories to be kept forever!!).

This month we would like to introduce you to Sai. Sai is one of our amazing operators here in Auckland and for those of you who have had the pleasure of meeting him, you will know what a fab guy he is!

Sai has been working for Photo Booth Fun since 2012, is a civil engineer during the day, and is absolutely hooked on Photo Booth Fun! Here is what Sai has to say about his job working with us …..

Favourite thing about working for Photo Booth Fun: To be honest there are lots of favourite things about working for Photo Booth Fun. Meeting new people, going to various types of gigs such as: weddings, 21st birthdays, concerts, sporting events and traveling to different parts of Auckland. Out of everything, working with the Photo Booth Fun team is one of my favorite things hence I’m still working here and still will be for many more years to come. Definitely the best job ever!!
Funniest booth moment: Funniest moments … tough question as every gig is an entertaining gig! I guess one moment was at a wedding where the best man decided to strip down in the booth and took pictures of every part of his body then left a message with his naked photo strip in the Photo Booth Album (obviously alot of alcohol was consumed!!)
Most famous person you have had inside a booth: Sir Peter Leitch (Mad Butcher), Steven Luatua (Blues, All Blacks) & Colin Mathura-Jeffree
Famous person you would love to see inside the booth: Rihannon Fish (from Home and Away)
Why should people book with Photo Booth Fun: A photo booth definitely brings out the fun out of everyone no matter the age. The amount of poses, selfies, photobombs etc that happen inside the booth is the best entertainment. Honestly speaking having Photo Booth Fun at any event of any sort will be the best decision someone can ever make!

Sai is an absolute superstar operator, so if you do see him at an event, make sure you go say hi!

A busy month of Expos ….

It has been all go with exciting expos for the Auckland crew over the past few weeks – we have been lucky enough to attend three awesome expos and may have seen you at one of them!

The first one was the school ball expo at the Ellerslie Events Centre – everything you need for your school ball was under the one roof – from dress makers, to DJ’s to Photo Booths (of course!!).  It was great to see so many students and ball committee members attend and everyone appeared to have a thoroughly good afternoon.  If you were at this expo and haven’t checked your photos out on our online gallery, you need to do so today!

Next up was Convene – a full day expo held at the Viaduct Events Centre.  Convene is a place where key organisers for corporate events (like team building, Christmas parties etc), come together and get ideas & inspirations about planning their upcoming events.  It was great to see so many faces from the year before there – a sign of how popular this event is becoming.

And then last (but by no means least!!), we had the bi-annual Grand Wedding Show at Sky City this weekend just gone.  And what an event this one is …. its awesome!  Hundreds and hundreds of brides, grooms, bridesmaids, best men etc all under one roof planning their dream day!  Two of our booths were in constant use all day long as people got a good feel for what Photo Booth Fun is all about. What a busy month its been!

What a busy month its been!  Our booths have certainly been getting a work out as we have attended some fantastic events!  We have attended lots and lots of stunning weddings and, as always, we get so much delight in seeing couples in love on their special day (and of course watching their guests have a blast in the booth!).

The past month has also seen us spend a few days at Auckland Cup week, the NZ Robotics Nationals, AUT open days and this week we are at Polyfest!  Its certainly been all go!

Amongst that we were able to attend one particularly special wedding. It was that of Vivian Fittall, who married Jack Waller in their fairytale wedding.  Vivian and Jack had a two-year relationship and a healthy baby girl but their happiness was shattered with news that cancer had spread to Vivian’s bowel, liver and lungs.  Marrying her soulmate in the time she had left meant everything to Vivian, and through social media and campaigning, an entire community pulled together to make her dream come true.  It was a truly magical day and we were so honoured to be a part of it.

Auckland – a great place to live … (and to get married!!)

The City of Sails is literally alive and buzzing today!  What a weekend of events we are having up here!  The NRL Auckland 9’s are well underway at Eden Park, the Lantern Festival has begun in Albert Park, and Eminem is about to kick off his first ever NZ show!  Wow!

It has got me thinking about how awesome Auckland really is!  And what a fantastic city it is to tie the knot in.  There are SO many fantastic wedding venues around – from parks, to vineyards, to beaches, to swanky restaurants – you name it, Auckland probably has it!!

Since kicking off 2014, our Auckland booths have travelled far and wide around Auckland attending some fantastic weddings.  We have been up North as far as Matakana, South as far as Bombay and have had numerous visits over to stunning Waiheke Island.  We are only a month and a half into the year, but we have already covered a fair distance attending some memorable weddings at some super Auckland venues!

If you are planning a wedding for the year ahead, make sure you come along to the the Grand Wedding Expo on Sunday 13th April – not only will your fave photo booth company be there, you will be able to get some great ideas to help create a perfect day!  Put it in your diary today and look forward to seeing you there!

The curtains have officially opened on 2014!

Wow – here we are mid way through January already – gosh time flies when you are having fun!  We had a lovely summer break – were lucky enough to enjoy New Years up in the beautiful Bay of Islands just relaxing and enjoying the wonderful beaches.  We decided to camp this year – a brave move with an active toddler in tow – however it was surprisingly hassle free!

We also had family come and visit from all around the globe, which brought with it alot of precious time sitting around and reminiscing about the year just gone.  A big event for us in 2013 had been our own wedding, and our photo booth photos came out again (providing much laughter and happy memories from our big day!).

And obviously no news years would be complete without new years resolutions (you either love ’em or hate ’em!!).  We wont bore you with our personal resolutions, however our big Photo Booth Fun goal for 2014 is to get some new and exciting FAMOUS FACES inside our booths – so watch this space!!

We are so excited about the year ahead and joining you all at special days of your own.  Enjoy summer everyone!
