Bay of Plenty-School Balls and Wedding Shows

Hi everybody,

Over here in the Bay of Plenty we have had a great month attending the local school balls and getting amongst the excitement, for many of the students it was their first school ball. Luckily our booth was there to help capture the priceless memories of the night for them to enjoy in years to come! We attended the Mount College Ball, followed by the Tauranga Girls College Ball and rounded off by the Otumoetai College Ball. It’s not over yet either! We still have a few more school balls coming up in the two months and we are always really excited to help make our mark on a very special evening for many!   

Judging by the hordes of photos our booths have snapped from the first ball up to now (averaging 1150 per event!) and by the size of the never ending and continually recycling queue’s, we would say the booths are a feature not to be overlooked. It’s almost common place to see one of our booths at such events, and we can tell you that it just doesn’t get old seeing people emerge with wide grins and having a laugh when they examine the prints of their (frequently contorted) faces!

Additionally this month we were fortunate to have a stand at the Tauranga Wedding Show, held at ASB Baypark Arena. It was a great day and Taylor our regional manager was there talking to the lovely faces who came forward and courageously stepped into our booth for some first hand experience, it’s funny how once you’ve had a turn, you want to have another. We also asked people to submit their email into our iPad, we did this because we had been planning a special show offer that we have now sent out to the recipients, we think it’s a good one!

Part of our business philosophy is making your party or special event come alive and go down in history (at least with your friends and guests) as a great time worth every cent. The Lovely Lord Ladies Pink Ribbon Breakfast

Many of you will know someone who has been affected by cancer but did you know that 8 women a day are diagnosed with breast cancer in New Zealand?  May is the month of the Pink Ribbon Breakfast fundraisers, and in 2014 over 2000 kiwis hosted a  breakfast and collectively raised over a million dollars for breast cancer research.  This year it aims to be bigger and better again!

Photo Booth Fun Auckland had the pleasure of donating a photo booth to one of these events yesterday – and wow what a morning it was!!  It is the 2nd year that the Lovely Lord Ladies have hosted a breakfast, and this year they really out-did themselves!  Over 60 ladies turned up to enjoy the morning, with alot of wonderful give-aways, raffles, games and of course a very scummy breakfast!  It was so heartwarming to be involved in this event and to see everyone digging deep for such a good cause.  It was also so wonderful to see businesses within the wider community donating goods and services which helped to make the morning the huge success that it was.

So the wedding expo season is in full swing… with the Auckland show done and dusted, the Wellington Show on 17th and Tauranga on the 24th May and the Waikato team have our 2015 Waikato Wedding Expo on Sunday 28th June.  That’s from 9.30 to 4pm at the Hamilton Gardens Pavilion.  Admission is $12 with children under 12 free.

We’ll be showing off our fabulous touch screen photo booth – so pop in and give our booth a try, you’ll get to see what all the fun is about, and in less than a minute you’ll have your very own photo strip as a momento of the day – and us!  So Waikato brides and grooms pencil the 28th in your diary and we’ll see you there!

 


Christchurch Bridal Show

This month saw us at the Christchurch Bridal Show at the Addington Events Centre – What a fabulous day! We loved meeting all the couples and bridal parties and showing them the magic of the photo booth – It really is a fantastic way to bring a little extra to your wedding and create lasting memories for you and your guests. And most importantly.. it’s FUN!

We had non stop laughs throughout the day coming from inside the booth and continuing on once the prints were viewed outside.

You get engaged to someone before you marry them so there’s nothing wrong with a little try before you buy!

Head down to the Wellington Wedding Show on Sunday 17th of May and pay Greg a visit on our stand. We’ll have a booth there to try out and Greg will be able to answer your questions (and there are none that are too silly to ask).

Well it is almost ‘Taranaki Autumn Ball’ time in the Naki!

Tickets sold out in just 2 weeks it was CRAZY and we know there are a lot of Taranaki people out there that are absolutely gutted that they missed out…..well it turns out we have 2 of the very last tickets! and we want to give them away to one of you!

Photo Booth Fun will be at the DMan Taranaki Autumn Ball with one of our beautiful booths – we are so excited! The booth photos will be stunning with everyone in their formal wear looking like A List stars! Open Day Fun

This month we had the privilege of returning to the Canterbury/West Coast Rescue Services Open Day in Christchurch. These vital services do an incredible job and the open day is a great way to involve the community, raise money and have fun.

There was a record turn out this month and we loved seeing so many people getting into the spirit of the day!

And I even managed to sneak a quick turn in the booth myself with the lovely Cheryle from Canterbury West Coast Air Rescue Trust who helped make this day such a cracker!

As you can see, we both follow the school of thought that the best pose is the one where you don’t take yourself too seriously!

Whats coming up in Auckland?

April is really shaping up to be a big month for the Auckland crew – with lots of cool things going on.

Next Tuesday we will have a stand at Convene – where organisers of conferences, meetings and incentives can source a diverse range of products and services under one roof.  Convene 2015 will be held on Tuesday April 21 from 9am-4.30pm at the ANZ Viaduct Events Centre.  We will be at stand number 86 – so if you are attending this expo, please come along and say hi.

The following weekend sees us back at the Grand Wedding Expo at Sky City.  This is one of our favourites, as we get to meet heaps of excited brides and grooms making plans for one of the biggest days of their lives.  If you are planning a wedding over the coming year, you really should come along to this expo – everything you need for your big day is under the one roof!
We are also attending a fundraiser for a 15 year old from Rangitoto College who has been selected to represent and speak at Gallipoli this year – wow what a privilege!

So as the weather takes a drop in temperature, things sure are continuing to stay hot here in the photo booth world!  Until next time, stay warm and well everyone!
