The Bay of Plenty photo booth ends up in some fairly out of the way spots, and we’re often asked ‘how far do you go?’ Well that’s an excellent question!

With our Tauranga base we offer FREE delivery within 50kms of the Tauranga CBD, and that covers all of the local conference facilities and wedding venues, and includes Katikati to the North, Pyes Pa, Papamoa and Te Puke to the South.

But we go much further, in fact as long as you’ve got vehicle access and power we cover the whole of the Bay of Plenty region – including Rotorua, Kawerau, Whakatane and Opotiki.

If you’re thinking even further afield, then don’t worry we’ve our network of photo booth regions all over New Zealand – with booths in Auckland, Hamilton, New Plymouth, Napier, Wellington and Christchurch each region offers free delivery within 50kms of the CBD, and that’s a massive chunk of New Zealand covered!

Hello 2015 and Hello Wedding Season!

Everybody loves a good wedding and here at Photo Booth Fun we really really love a good wedding! What’s not to love? a beautiful bride in an amazing gown, pretty flowers, guests who travel from near and far to party with you, tasty drinks and cake (never forget the cake)!

But what we really love about weddings (even more than the cake) is watching the smiles and cheeky glances of the booth goers! You just can’t beat listening to the uncontrollable laughter coming from our booths when that curtain closes and the first flash fires! We don’t always know what is going on behind that curtain but it sure sounds amazing… after all we all know that people do the funniest thing’s when they think no one’s watching!

WEDDING SEASON is in full swing, and once again Hawkes Bay is living up to the label of the Wedding Capital of New Zealand (OK it’s self appointed but if you’ve been here you’d know we’re right!), this month the Hawkes Bay Photo Booth Fun team had the honour of attending Weddings not only in wineries and events centres here in Napier, Hastings and Havelock North but also in Wairoa, Gisborne,

Family holiday fun in the Waikato

We have so many awesome events coming up in the Waikato this year – the Cricket World Cup, Balloons over Waikato, National Agricultural Field Days, the FIFA under 20 World Cup and the Great Race just to name a few!   And this month from Monday 12th – Saturday 17th we’re hosting the Activepost Waka Ama Sprint Nationals at Lake Karapiro culminating with the Hinano Island Night After Party where the Waikato Photo Booth Fun team will be in attendance to capture all of the fun!

The Waka Ama Sprint Nationals are free to watch and with this weather it makes for a fun and exciting day for the whole family, you can purchase a weekly car pass and tickets to the after party at www.wakaama.co.nz/shop. And if you do attend the island night make sure you come and visit us and get your photo taken.

As the Wellington team prepares for our first Wedding Expo of the year, the North City Wedding Expo, its a good time to quickly talk about Expos.

Just recently I’ve started taking the booth to the weddings of folk who I’ve met at the various Wedding Expos that we attend in the Wellington region and its always really nice to finish something that may have begun two years ago! The thing with so many weddings is that details are often sorted out well in advance and, having been in the job for 18 months now, I haven’t had this opportunity often.

Expos can seem like a bit of a daunting prospect, or unnecessary as you think you’ve got it all “locked down” but it doesn’t hurt to go to a couple before the big day. Mainly because companies, like Photobooth Fun, do deals for these Expos and there’s always the chance of picking up more bang for your wedding buck – and there’s nothing wrong about that.

And its always a great chance to road test some of your products. We love having people in our booths at expos because its easy to see how fast and fun the process is, as well as the quality.

So a big congrats to all the brides and grooms who we met at an expo and ended up joining on their big day. Here’s hoping I meet some more later on this month!

2014 Where did you go? Time sure flies when you are having fun!

Our Taranaki team have had an AMAZING year! Sneaking into the photo booth at MANY events while hanging out with some very cool people!

From Brides to Mud Runners, Babies to 85 year olds and Charity events to major functions with everything in between! January to December we just haven’t stopped and neither have the laughs, smiles and crazy poses! There are days we ask ourselves “how can this be work”? Seriously the booth is too much fun to be work!

Thanks Taranaki – you awesome people you!

Xmas is only a few sleeps away, and by now, millions of xmas family photo’s have been posted, emailed and downloaded all over the world.

Our photo booths operate in booth mode (with a curtain back drop) or kiosk mode (your own personalised back drop – without a curtain) and through the year we’ve captured some amazing family photo’s.  But there is a fine line between super cool and, well just plain awkward.  We’ve scoured the web to find a selection of both – super cool or super awkward?  You decide!

Always a fun excuse to just dress glam and easy to accessorise with. Most guys own a black suit and most gals have a cocktail dress of some sort and there’s always plenty to be found at costume hire companies. Its also really easy to add things to the props box for those folk who haven’t quite read the dress code or who feel a bit under-dressed when they show up

 

 

A Mexican theme is always a winner

Nothing says “party” like a Mexican

You can go as fabulous as the Day of the Dead make-up above, a sombrero and a moustache or even just join your eyebrows together like Frida Kahlo. But Mexican is a great theme that can extend all the way through to food and drinks – especially the drinks!

This one’s a little bit out there. But if you want a party with lots of character possibilities and plenty of nostalgic songs to sing-along to why not awaken the inner child in you with something like a Disney party!

Just remember that if you are going the costume party route make sure you check in with your local costume shops to see what sort of stock they have. Its always a bit stink if you get in there and nab the best one and everyone else has to scrounge around!
