The team at Photo Booth Fun would like to wish you all the very best for the holiday season! Though I’m writing this from Sunny Hawkes Bay I know all our staff from right around the country join with me in Merry Christmas

We’ve been involved in some awesome events this year in Hawkes Bay, from Weddings to 21st Parties, from 50th, 60th and 70th birthdays to the Special Children’s Extravaganza, from School Balls to  work conferences and functions and an amazing night at Christmas at the Park with Dave Dobbyn and 27000 guests I can honestly say it’s been a fantastic year for Napier, Hastings, Havelock North and the whole Hawkes Bay region!

And 2016 is looking to be even better! I look forward to our team coming to your special event and adding some extra photobooth fun!

Earlier this month the Waikato PBF team had the chance to spread some Xmas cheer with a great bunch of kids and their families at the Special Children’s Christmas Parties Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Rotorua.  Check out the Photo Booth Fun 2015 – Hamilton gallery here.

Heaps of local businesses supported the day – either with their services like us, or by contributing gifts to the santas present cave and there were heaps of volunteers helping out on the day too.

Lovin’ the silly season!

So, here we are – midway through December, and right in the thick of the silly season!   For us here at Photo Booth Fun, December is manic and by far our busiest month of the year!  We have back to back bookings, and our feet sometimes fee like they don’t touch the ground!

But the best thing about December is all the awesome Christmas parties that go with it!  Everyone is winding down at work and waiting with great anticipation for their annual knees up!  It really is wonderful watching everyone relax and unwind after a year of hard work.

Not only do we attend corporate Christmas parties, but also some pretty cool ones for children.  This month in Auckland we had the pleasure of attending both the Auckland Down Syndrome Association Christmas Party, and the CYFS Childrens Christmas party – both of which were just amazing!  Seeing the pure delight on these childrens faces as Santa entered the room and delivered gifts for them all – really no words could explain how special this felt.  The awesome and very talented Che Fu came along and performed at one of these parties – and of course we couldn’t resist dragging him into the booth for a quick snap :)

Thank you so much to everyone who we have been involved with this year, and we wish each and everyone one of you a magical and fun filled festive season.  Stay safe and we look forward to working with you all again next year.

Can you say CHRISTMAS!!!

I decided to pop into town yesterday for a quick 5 minute job…. An hour later I was home…. Can anyone say CHRISTMAS??

Yes the silly season has hit town with shoppers getting all crazy, kids screaming for Santa photos and that oh so catchy Christmas music playing in the shops and did I mention it is only 21 sleeps until the big day!!! And as always we have a lot of booth gigs to pack into those 21 days – and the truth is we are pretty excited about the whole thing!

We can’t make any promises but we might still be able to fit your booking in with a bit of flexibility, so you can still call us for the silly season…. This is the woman who hasn’t started Christmas shopping (or even written a list) I know all about leaving everything to the last minute at this time of year! – I am still sitting here trying to understand where the last year went … I’m sure it was only Christmas a couple of months ago wasn’t it!

Yay for Christmas, Yay for photo booths and YAY for fun! Love, love, LOVE this time of year as crazy as it may be!

Wellington Photobooth

 

We love Photo Booth Christmases in Wellington! Because the booth is the perfect place for workmates to come together and let off steam without having to hit the dance floor. And the best thing of all it leaves people with a memory from the night. Once upon a time all the memories you got from the office Christmas Party were when someone sat on the photocopier and made 20 A4 copies of their backside. But throw in a Christmas props box and a photo booth and now you can have all sorts of memories that last beyond the night.

Its always great fun to see the pictures following a Christmas Party where all sorts of people, regardless of where they sit on the corporate ladder or what they do for the rest of the year act a little silly and have fun. A photo booth also allows those people who don’t drink or can’t drink on the night to relax and do something a little wild. The curtain truly does give people license to let their hair down and like we always say, “People do the funniest things when they think no-one is watching”.

So check and see if there are still spots left Wellington. And if we can’t fit you in for 2015 then book now for 2016. A year isn’t too long for an advance booking.

Waikato BOP Special Children’s Christmas Party

The Waikato team are stoked to be supporting the Waikato BOP region Special Children’s Christmas Party at Mystery Creek on Saturday the 12th December.

This years party will start at 10:45 am and run for three and a half fun filled hours during which time the children will be treated to a star studded stage show featuring many local, national and international artists. There will be bouncing castles, face painting, our photobooth of course(!) merry-go-rounds, petting zoos, pony rides, clowns, dancers, fairies, magicians, hoop shooting contests, bowling alleys, Police and Army displays, etc to provide plenty of fun and entertainment. With all this fun to be had there will be all the drinks, lollies, chippies, sausages, iceblocks, ice creams, burgers, sandwiches, fruit juice, apples etc. that we can provide to keep the energy levels high.

Santa has made some spectacular entrances such as abseiling down from a 20 metre high roof with his 6 helper elves, on horseback with Mark Todd at the reins, in a Ferrari, on Harley Davidson motor bikes, in a Rolls Royce Limousine, on a sleigh pulled by 2 Newfoundland dogs, on a fire engine etc. After wishing everyone a merry Christmas it is then off to the HUGE Santa’s caves filled with thousands of top quality gifts that spread for over 70 metres. This is when every special child, will receive 3 or 4 high quality gifts to call their own and personally meet Santa.

Farewell to some top Cantab rugby players

Wow, what an emotional time it’s been for NZ Rugby! The excitement of the RWC – Edge of your seat games and excellent performances by our players. And as us proud Cantabrians know, a fair few of them also don the Crusaders jersey and do a fine job of representing rugby for us red and blacks!

So it was a bit of a sad time too for us to hear that two of those stirling Crusaders / All Blacks, Ritchie McCaw and Dan Carter, are leaving NZ rugby. We’ve had the pleasure of working with the Crusaders supporting charity events with Child Cancer and Ronald McDonald House in Chch and they are such good guys. Always happy to join kids and families in the photo booth and embracing the fun of it by wearing whichever props are handed to them by the star struck kids (it’s probably fair to say most of the parents are pretty star struck too!).

 

We’re just thankful that Kieran and the rest of the gang are still with us!

Farewell Suze!

Its a very sad month for us all here at Photo Booth Fun, as we say a massive and heartfelt farewell to our bookings/admin/accounts extraordinaire Suze!   Suze has been with us for over 5 years, and most of our customers would have had the pleasure of dealing with her at some stage or another, as she helped to make the whole booking process easy and stress-free for everyone.

As Suze heads off to embark on a new career, we would all like to take this opportunity to thank her for her amazing dedication to Photo Booth Fun, and we wish her all the very best for the future.  And of course share some snap-shots of the face that we know and love, and reflect on all the great times that have been had.  We are going to really miss you Suze!

Someone is a bit more convinced than the other here

There is the old showbiz adage that states you should never work with children or animals. At Photobooth Fun we say to heck with that! Some of the most awesome moments in a photobooth can be provided by our little friends (of either 2 or 4 legs).

Dog in a PhotoboothIn October both children and animals came together in fantastic fashion when the Wellington team helped the Pet Centre out for two days for the grand opening of their Lyall Bay store. We had families, kids, bunnies, puppies, older dogs and even an 85kg St. Bernard in the booth! Some folks even came back with more family, friends and pets the second day!

Its the great thing about a photobooth for a function – everyone loves them. And more importantly we can even make sure that all your guests, furry or otherwise, can have a turn. If you’ve got a lot of kids or pets at your function let us know because we can give you some advice about the best set up to make sure that everyone has a chance to make great memories in the booth.

If your house is like my house then you are probably well into the Christmas countdown! While I am still trying to figure out where exactly the last 10 months have gone I find myself saying “be nice to your sister – you know Santa’s elves are heading out soon to keep watch” all too often, and answering all toy requests with “put it in your letter to Santa and see what happens”. Christmas stores seem to be popping up in places I didn’t even know existed and that catchy Christmas music has started in the background of radio adverts… what does all this mean? It is a fairly good indication that one of my favourite times of the year is upon us… end of year work function time!!

That amazing time of year when you get to let your hair down knowing that a Christmas break is so close you can almost touch it…and what are the vital ingredients for a successful work function? Good food, Good drink, good entertainment AND a good photo booth! That is where Photo Booth Fun come in and we can’t wait!

 

So be like these 2 at your work function…
